WORKSHOP OR Demonstration: PAPER CLAY


It is very important to have DRY Plaster slabs or DRY plaster moulds for drying paper clay and lots of buckets and jugs.


PAPER CLAY-- A creative ceramic material which lends itself to sculptural, decorative and handbuilt methods in pottery .


    * 1. models wet and dry without fear of cracking

    * 2. dries and fires without warping

    * 3. has much less weight for big structures.

    * 4. allows more adventurous and confident building

    * 5. breaks all the rules

TWO OR THREE DAY WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS.


    * Slip from stoneware or earthenware clay or wheel slops.

    * Hot water and cold water.

    * Strong electric drill with mixer attachment.(for mixing paper pulp)

    * Toilet paper,tissue, lightweight paper of any type.

    * Sieve (kitchen type).

    * Several flat plaster slabs DRY DRY DRY !!!!!!!

    * Other large plaster moulds

    * Normal pottery tools.

    * Heat gun or hair drier for rapid drying (useful)


KODAK CAROUSEL PROJECTOR ( preferred projector) and a totally dark room


ONE OR TWO DAY DEMONSTRATION REQUIREMENTS.


If I do a demonstration-only session then the requirements are the same as above but only for one person
